Love best served shaken not stirred...one naughty drink at a time.

A bartender with a special talent for picking the perfect cocktail meets his match when down-on-her-luck Lexi walks into Bottoms Up. Well known for creating drinks with very naughty names, Justin whips up a cocktail especially for Lexi, hoping to ease the pain he sees in her soulful eyes.

With each sip Lexi realizes she’d much rather stay in Bottoms Up with the sexy, tattooed barman who seems to know just how to heal her broken heart.

Night after night, Lexi is drawn back to the bar to explore Justin’s list of naughty drink recipes in more detail--after hours. One deliciously dirty creation after another unleashes her extreme fantasies when he shows her how to let go of her inhibitions.

One tantalizing drink recipe at a time.

Lexi was very aware it was just the two of them, in the great
big bar. Alone.
            The quiet after the storm.
The soft hum of canned music playing in the background, some sort of jazz. Very unlike the heavy rock earlier in the evening.
A row of lights went off at the back of the room, blacking out a whole section of the bar. She glanced at her watch. Two twenty a.m.
“I say a night like this deserves a drink don’t you?” Justin prompted reaching for a couple glasses. Another set of lights went off, leaving just the immediate bar area lit.
“Do you really think that’s wise, I mean after yesterday?” She questioned, her
cheeks flushing while she tried her best to make light of her nearly fainting on that same barstool the day before.
“I do.” He flashed that killer smile again. The one that made her want to go along with just about anything he suggested. “Any special requests or shall I just pick?” He reached for a bottle behind the bar, but then paused. “On second thought you never did drink your drink last night…” His knowing look made her stomach flutter. “You remember what it was, before you felt dizzy?”
“Umm hum,” she replied, biting her lower lip, aware the air was now laden with sexual tension she hoped she wasn’t imagining.
“And the name was…” his grin was so sexy she wanted to kiss the words right
out of his mouth.
“Sexual Healing…” she swallowed hard, hoping he couldn’t see the affect he was having on her.
“And would you like some Sexual Healing?” he teased back.
His provocative tone made her legs go weak. She wanted to shout out ‘Yes!’ but she bit her tongue before she chose her words. “I don’t know what’s in it, so how would I know...” Her tone was all business but inside her body was betraying her, aching for sexual healing from him.
He reached out and took her hand in his across the bar. “Then I’d better show
you how to make it… after all you’ll be working here, you’d better know how to make a few drinks.
Nodding her agreement, she hopped off the bar stool and came around behind the
bar while Justin washed his hands in the sink. He motioned for her to do the same while he took some more bottles off the shelf and placed them on the counter before she joined him behind the bar.
“First thing you need to know, is how to pour.” He grabbed two bottles in one
hand, and then moved closer to her, pushing two glasses in front of her.
“Here,” this will make it easier,” he added, standing right behind her, so he
could see what he was doing over her shoulders.
Aware of just how distracted she was with him standing so close to her, she did her best to stay focused when he placed her hands on the glasses he’d put in front of her, centering them.
He reached around her for a bottle and plunked it down in front of her next to the two glasses. Then he placed his hands on the bar, on either side of her. He wasn’t touching her, but his arms were mighty close to hers while he demonstrated how to hold the bottle.
Lexi could barely concentrate with Justin standing so close. She glanced at the
muscled arms that formed a sexy cage around her and eyed the tattoo on his arm,  wondering what it was. It looked like a sword and some sort of serpent like thing, and it flexed with his muscles. Whatever it was it was a turn on the way it gyrated with his movements.
“Now, take the Amaretto and pour it in the glass,” he instructed, bringing her
back from her reverie about the tattoo. “I’ll tell you when to stop.”
“Which one is the Amaretto?” she asked, looking back up at him over her
shoulder.
“That one,” he said with a nod and she felt his body tense, that’s how close he was.
“And this is the rum?” she asked looking at the bottle, her hand nearly shaking when  she clutched it.
“Here,” he said, reaching around her, taking the bottle from her and pouring a
shot. He dipped his finger in to the amber liquid. She gasped inwardly as he lifted his liqueur-coated finger to her lips. “Taste.”
She gulped, the arousal washing over her . Lexi did as she was told and took
a taste from his finger. It was so erotic the way he’d dipped his finger into the rum and then held it out for her to lick she closed her eyes as the rum mellowed on her tongue.
“Do you taste the hint of oak of the barrel in that?” he prompted, and she opened her eyes, smiling at his suggestive gaze.
He held his finger out for her to take a second taste. This time she took her time, licking the sweet liquid from his finger, sucking ever so lightly, her body quivering at the sensation.
“Good?” he asked.
“Umm hum, very good…” she murmured her approval.
He instructed her to pour one ounce in the metal martini shaker.
“And now, the Kahlua…Do you need a taste to know which one it is?”
She smiled. She knew damn well which one it was, it was the dark brown
liqueur in the bottle clearly marked Kahlua, but it was much more fun playing along. “I’d know if you gave me a taste…” she teased
For a moment she thought she’d gone to far when he just sighed and then reached for the bottle. She could almost feel the beat of his heart beating against her back as he inched closer, pouring the syrupy liquid onto his finger.
He held it out for her to taste.
She gulped.
“I see you’re enjoying this sexual healing,” he observed, then trailed his finger on her lips.
She darted her tongue to taste, and then sucked his finger into her mouth. A low hum of approval escaped his lips.
Turning to face him, first slowly licking and then sucking, she let his finger slide slowly out of her mouth. He thumbed her lip making her quiver inside, wanting more. More of his touch.
“Good?” he asked again.

Interview with Kate Deveaux

Can you tell us a little about your book?

Bottoms Up is a sizzling romance between a broken hearted heroine and a bartender who concocts cocktails with very naughty names at his bar. Through the sexy drinks Justin mixes for Lexi, he heals her broken heart as he teaches her how to make those dirty drinks by acting them out with her. Night after night. From  ‘Pop My Cherry’ to ‘Sex On The Pool Table’ it’s one erotic lesson in lovemaking after another. Filled with dirty drink recipes, I hope you’ll enjoy this Naughty Cock Tale Book, Bottoms Up!

What types of scenes are your most favorite to write?

Hands down, I love to write the scenes where they characters reveal their vulnerabilities. In my stories these scenes are almost always the sex scenes. These scenes are the most intimate interaction between the hero and heroine. The explicit sexual descriptions and sensual tone are merely the vehicle that I hope transports my reader into the very moment when one character exposes their deepest fears, hopes, and expectations to their lover as the scene evolves. These scenes are thrilling and challenging to write, but so fun too!

If you could have dinner with any three authors (alive or dead), who would you choose and why?

Number one, I would want to have dinner with Charlotte Bronte. For me, she is one of the quintessential role models of an author writing about social conventions in both day-to-day life and romance. Number Two, Danielle Steele. Her prolific swathe of work over the past thirty years is not only remarkable, but inspiring to me as an author. She was one the first authors I ever read as a young adult and loved the scandalously sexy stories she told. I’ve been a fan ever since! Third, I’d love to meet Colleen McCullough. Thornbirds is one of my favorite books filled with sensual writing and the gut wrenching agony of social conventions and forbidden love.

What are you favorite types of stories to read?

I read contemporary fiction mostly. Romance, sexy and non, and general women’s fiction. I also enjoy reading biographies. I just finished ‘Victoria, The Queen’ by Julia Baird. An inspired read of the lesser known details of Victoria’s love affair with Albert and her robust desire for sexual pleasure and her humanity was delightful to read about. An empowered woman, Queen Victoria continues to inspire through Baird’s writings.

Is anything in your book based on real life experiences or purely all imagination?

I think all stories authors tell are hinged somewhere in experiences we may have had and people that we have met. These experiences cannot help seep into our writing. For myself, although some of the subject matter might be fantasy — or not,  the reactions to the actions in the book are almost always something tangible that I can relate to from personal experience. I like to tell as story as if I am living it.

Can you tell us about your upcoming book?

My next book that is coming out soon is ‘Fit to Be Tied’ part of the Bimini Bound series. The rubenesque heroine, Liz, leaves behind her dreary Seattle office to attend a work outing in the Bahamas aboard the boss’s mega yacht. Liz quickly finds herself in the middle of a very sexy case of mistaken identity, with the added thrill of ménage romance when she is seduced by the sexy guest on board and his sidekick. A voyeuristic hero with a taste for bondage and ménage,  Fit to Be Tied is a curvy romance full of mistaken identity and sexual fantasies that I hope will have you eager to hop on board!

Thank you so much for having me as your guest.
Best,
Kate

Blog Tour -- Blood Money by Tee O'Fallen

He just might be her savior...or her downfall.

BLOOD MONEY
NYPD Blue & Gold #2
Tee O'Fallon
Releasing Jan 23rd, 2017
Entangled: Select Suspense

NYPD Detective Gray Yates has major trust issues. Protecting a serenely beautiful woman hiding enough secrets to take down an entire city wasn’t something he bargained for. She’s a loving single mother, hot as hell, and protecting her will test every ounce of his resolve.

Alex Romano is being blackmailed by the Pyramid—an elusive international organization of assassins every cop in the world is after. When Alex tries severing ties with them they refuse to let her go. The darkly dangerous detective she’s irresistibly drawn to is her only hope of staying out of jail. He just might be her savior…or her downfall.

Despite efforts to maintain his professionalism, Gray can’t deny the fiery passion Alex ignites in him. In an explosive confrontation, Alex’s lies are revealed and Gray is faced with the most important decision of his life: trust the woman he’s falling in love with, or arrest her.

Want More NYPD Blue & Gold?

Alex still couldn’t believe the two men actually tried to kidnap her baby.
She took a breath to steady her nerves. It didn’t work, far from it. All it did was make her even more aware of the man sitting a foot away. Every inhalation brought with it his wonderful aftershave. Woodsy, yet fresh and clean.
“I have to call Nicky’s school.” Anything to get her mind off thinking about last night. Despite her words to the contrary, she’d wanted Gray to finish what they’d started. But that was a bad idea, one she had to let go of.
Easier said than done.
Since giving birth to Nicky and having to take care of a child alone, sex wasn’t something she thought of very much these days. But she was thinking a lot about it now. The truth of the matter was, she began thinking about it the day she started working for the NYPD.
The day she met Detective Gray Yates.
Alex hadn’t stayed with Nicky’s father long after the physical violence started. She wasn’t the kind of woman to stay in a bad situation. But after what she’d endured, she hadn’t wanted another man to make love to her. Now the only one she wanted to touch her was the last man who ever would. And the last man she should ever let touch her. There was too much between them. She may have hurt him, but he’d been fully capable of inflicting the same level of pain. And he did.
She turned to watch Gray’s handsome profile. Part of her understood his viewpoint. He was one of the most principled cops in the department. Even she’d picked up on that trait right away—and it was one of the things she admired about him. It didn’t matter what her reasons were. The bottom line was that she had spent money received from a Pyramid assassin, and he thought she’d been paid to sleep with him and get confidential police intel.
Now she was nothing more to Gray than someone he and the NYPD would use to take down a band of ruthless criminals. What happened between them in her bedroom was nothing more than a mistake, a latent reminder of feelings they may have had for each other. Feelings she still had. Ones he didn’t.
“Tell the school—” Gray stopped, obviously realizing Alex had been staring at him for some time. “What’s wrong?”
Aside from the obvious?
“Nothing.” She pulled her cell phone from her coat pocket. There was no sense telling him the truth. He might be sitting right next to her, but as far as anything personal went they were a thousand miles apart.
“Wait.” Gray tipped his head toward the phone in her hand. “Tell them you’re taking Nicky out of school for a couple of weeks, but don’t tell them why. The Pyramid has resources sophisticated enough to tap into your personal bank account, so we have to assume they can break into any database. If you tell the school Nicky is sick, they’ll check all the hospitals. When they don’t find him, they’ll come after him again at your apartment.”
“Then isn’t the best story to tell them he’s home sick?” Alex shifted in her seat to face him. “He won’t be there, so what does it matter if I say that?”
“Nicky won’t be there, but you and I will.” Gray paused to look at her. “The last thing I want is for them to break into your place again.”
Alex widened her eyes. “What do you mean, you and I will be at my apartment?”
Gray’s gaze flicked to the side-view mirror before answering. “Until this is over, you have a roommate.”
“No.” She crossed her arms and shook her head. “That isn’t possible. I won’t allow it.”
Because I don’t trust myself to be alone with you ever again.
Gray chuckled. “You don’t have a say in the matter, babe.”
She turned to face him. “The hell I don’t. And don’t you dare babe me.” Last night was sheer torture. There was no way she could live in her tiny apartment with a man she wanted more desperately than she wanted to breathe.
“Too late,” Gray said in a cold voice. “It’s done.”
She grabbed his shoulder. “I do so have a say in this. I’ll talk to Lt. Frye.”
“Negative.”
“Negative?” Alex shouted. She lowered her voice so she didn’t wake Nicky, who was still sleeping comfortably in the car seat. “And don’t speak to me like I’m one of your cop cronies. Why does it have to be you?”
“Because not only won’t the department pay for your protection, but I don’t trust anyone else to keep you safe.” He briefly met her gaze, and there was anger there, but Alex couldn’t decipher the source of it. He shouldn’t care about her, and he shouldn’t care about protecting her.
Ah, she thought. He’s not protecting me, he’s protecting his cooperator.
