Series Blog Tour & Review -- Careful What You Wish For & Wishful Thinking by Michelle Escamilla

One simple wish can change everything…

Harley Simpson has one wish—to find Prince Charming and settle down. She has a dream job and wonderful friends, but something is missing. With her thirtieth birthday looming, Harley is sure being with her hot, smooth-talking boss Ethan Prince would make her life complete. Having just landed a major client and learning she’ll be working even more closely with Ethan, Harley sets out to celebrate with her friends.

On her way to the bar, Harley chats with a mysterious cab driver. When the woman asks what she would wish for, Harley answers honestly—she wants Ethan. But during her night out, she meets a handsome, blue-eyed part-time bartender and full-time teacher named Matt Garner. No, he’s not a CEO, but he’s the sweetest guy Harley’s ever met.

A wish gone bad…

Harley awakens the next morning in a strange house with Ethan—and their two young daughters. The wish she’d confided to the freaky fairy godmother has actually come true. As she tries to figure out what this means and if it’s really what she wanted after all, Harley discovers Matt is also part of this bizarre world…He’s her daughters’ teacher.

Harley suspects fate has gone completely haywire. Will she be able to find a way out of this suburban nightmare? Or is she destined to stay and live the life she thought she wanted in this messed up fairytale…
Careful What You Wish For.

"Harley, you have grown an attachment to all this. The girls. That shopping spree. You even landed the guy that you wanted. You need to realize that everything here may not be meant for you."

Have you ever wished upon a star?
Made a wish on your birthday?
Wondered what it would be like to have your own personal fairy godmother?

Well Harley got that...and then some!!

I adored this book!! It was a breath of fresh air! Harley, like so many of us, wished for the perfect job, perfect kids, and a life with her dream guy. But when her wishes become reality, was it all worth it?

Along the way, Harley finds herself not so sure about her realtionship with her dream man, Ethan Prince. She falls head over heels for her own daughters. And she also starts believing that maybe a yummy, blue-eyed teacher is who she really should be with. Such a great story!!!

Each and every character was great. My favorite would have to be Donna. She may not be the best fairy godmother, but she is very entertaining! I kinda want her for myself;)

Like I said, I adored this book! It was fairy tale magic at its best!

"Be careful what you wish for! It might come true!"

What if you were given one wish, would you take it? Even if you were warned not to?

Leila Garner knew something was always up, especially when her Mom wouldn’t let her wish on her own birthdays or on falling stars. She never expected to hear it was because of a wish that a fairy godmother had gotten wrong. Leila was beyond excited to learn there was an actual fairy godmother that could take care of all of her dreams and make them come true.

Would you take a chance?

Leila wanted the high life. A job with a top fashion magazine, designer clothing and her dream guy – Jackson King. Now with the knowledge, and the story of her mom, of Donna being able to make all that come true – Leila rushes to Donna to make the ultimate wish.

All wrong….Again.

Unfortunately, Leila soon finds out for herself that Donna doesn’t always get things right. Leila realizes Jackson King isn’t actually living up to his name and the dream job is anything but. Can Leila find her happily ever after or is it just…
Wishful Thinking.

"You and your mom are very much alike, you want the fairytale wish to come true, but don't really understand they aren't all green grass on the picketed fence lawns."

Donna the fairy godmother is at it again!

Now it's Leila's turn to make the wish of a lifetime.

I was so excited to read about Harley and Matt's daughter getting her chance at her own happily ever after! Like her mom, she wished for the dream job and guy. Her story takes a more drastic turn when she realizes that she might have done more bad than good with her wish.

I loved the twists and turns this story took! Friendships that needed mending, relationships developing, and finding yourself along the way. Leila thought she was way in over her head, but she knew there was an end game. Her mama didn't raise no fool!

"This sucked, if I can be brutally honest."
"Sometimes wishes aren't all they're cracked up to be."

I liked visiting with old characters and meeting new ones! I freakin love Reggie!! I want him in my life!!

I have enjoyed this entire series so much!! I wish there was more!! I NEED MORE!!

"I guess it was just wishful thinking."
