“Wait.” Her voice shook
although she stood proud, deepening his respect for her. “I’ve never done
anything like this before, and it freaked me out. That doesn’t mean I don’t
want you, or need you; it just means I needed a minute.” She closed her eyes at
the last statement, shaking her head slightly, and he instantly softened. How
could he not when this beautiful, vulnerable woman was so proud and strong in
her professional life she’d neglected her personal life. Not anymore, he
thought as he moved closer, lifting his hand to her face. Her eyes remained
closed but she moved her face toward him, pressing into his palm.
“Hey,” he whispered,
rubbing his thumb lightly against her cheek. She turned toward him, opening her
eyes and allowing him to see everything she was feeling. He read the fear,
trepidation, and anticipation in those brown depths. More than anything, he

thought about her, way more than he should; even when he was supposed to be

Holy Wow!!!
This book grabbed me from the start. I was so intrigued by the blurb, but I was not prepared for all this story involved! So many twists and turns that left me reading through the pages so fast because I had to--needed to--know the answers!
Alexandra and Roman were both very complex characters. They each had a story to tell, and boy were they worth telling! As the book progresses, you see how their stories intertwine within each other. You are immersed into their world and you want to fight for them as much as they want to fight against their connection.
"I'm going to screw you right now, so if you object, tell me now because we're not going back. Once I'm in you, I own you."

This book was beyond sexy!
There were times when I needed to fan myself because...WHEW!...it was hawt! This book starts off all about wanting the sexual connection, but you know there will be something more. You just feel it!
"Do you trust me?"
"If I didn't trust you, I wouldn't be here."
Not only was this a story of two unlikely people coming together, but it also had a suspenseful twist that I never saw coming! I can't tell you how many times my mouth dropped open and the words "Holy crap" come out!
I enjoyed this book very much! Each character was unique in their own right and the storyline played out well.
I can't wait to read more from this author!!

Charlotte is a southern girl who has loved a good story for as long as she can remember. A long way from sneaking around past her bedtime with a flashlight, she's currently plugging away writing her own stories. She loves writing about strong characters and how their personalities influence those around them. Her first book, Mutually Exclusive, will be available in November 2015.
