Another amazing book from Lori Foster!
I was so excited for Vanity and Stack's story! Their attraction was off the charts and nothing was going to stop them from finally giving in to each other.

I was so excited for Vanity and Stack's story! Their attraction was off the charts and nothing was going to stop them from finally giving in to each other.
Of course, getting what you want is not always easy.
Vanity makes Stack an offer he can't refuse, but even if it was "planned" to be a one time thing, it slowly turned into something more. I loved the push and pull between these two. They both wanted each other, and yet, they were cautious about letting their feelings truly show.
"I won't be the strong one. And if you stay, I might get stuck on you. Or you could get stuck on me. Either is possible...So be strong, Stack. Go now before I give into temptation, climb onboard and steal all your options."
"I'll go--after you give in. After you climb onboard. That's the only option I choose."
I knew their story would be a good one! I loved them both from the start. Each had a backstory of loss and each had an equal amount of strength to push forward. They had two completely different upbringings, but that didn't stop Vanity and Stack from finding common ground within each other.
There was also a great family dynamic in this book. Stack is very close to his mother and sister. But he has an issue with his brother-in-law (if you even want to call him that)-Effin Phil! Gahhh! I wanted to punch the guy out through the pages! I also like how quickly Vanity became part of his family. You got a great look into her character by seeing her loving heart.
In this book (and series) there is another family dynamic that doesn't envolve blood, but there is brotherhood. I love each and every single guy included in the Ultimate Series! My goodness! Let's just say that I can't wait for more of their stories;) Their ladies are as equally wonderful and are great friends to Vanity.

This book took you through twists and turns within a relationship. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Not only was it sexy as sin and swoonworthy, but also real and full of suspense. I love how Lori intertwines each of her stories within a series. You see different POVs throughout and it helps set it up for the next book...Which I can't wait for;)
I mean, who wouldn't want more stories about sexy fighters?!
This book also proves that Tough Love can sometimes be the best love. Wonderful story!
