Here's a snippet from one ARC reader:
"Author A.D. Ellis weaves a magical tale of love, family, small towns and big dreams and it makes the reader instantly fall in love with it all."
Blurb:
Sawyer Morgan has a secret. Revealing his true feelings to his family could bring devastation and destruction, so he keeps the burden firmly on his own shoulders. When he moves back to Torey Hope to help with the family business, Sawyer’s hidden truth becomes too much to bear.
Luke Hamilton has a past overflowing with emotional and physical scars. A promise to his dying mother prevents him from seeking the love and acceptance he longs for. Taking a job in Torey Hope brings Luke face-to-face with taboo desires he thought long extinguished.
Secrets, lies, hatred, and fear threaten to destroy their lives. But, love has the power to overcome and lay claim to victory.
Will Sawyer succeed in proving to Luke some connections are worth fighting for?
A poignant tale of two hearts valiantly fighting to stay true and find love.
**This is a male/male romance. It has adult themes, language, and situations. Readers sensitive to homosexual relationships, abuse, hate crimes, and derogatory terms should take note. This story is meant only for readers age 18+.**

Review
"The thing with keeping secrets and not being truthful with those who love you is that it gets harder and harder with each day."
My goodness. This book was a beautiful story of self-discovery, forgiveness, love, and acceptance.
This was my first time reading a A.D. Ellis book, and it won't be my last. I was thrown into the world of Torey Hope and the people inside it. I fell in love with the families.
Sawyer Morgan has held in a secret for so many years. All he wants is his family's support and love no matter what. This book was very well written in the aspect of getting in the head of someone experiencing this situation.
This was not my first M/M book, but I believe this one stole my heart the most. I felt every emotion that Sawyer was going through. With coming out to his family, answering their questions (some were quite funny), and finally feeling like he was accepted for just being...him, it was a wonderful story.
"He felt like he was Sawyer Morgan on the outside, but it was just a facade. The real Sawyer was gay, but he was being hidden away. He longed for the courage to be himself."
Now to talk about Luke. He broke my heart, but at the same time I found myself being attracted to his vulnerability. He fought his feelings for so long. He tried to prove that he wasn't what people thought he was.
All he needed was someone in his corner--someone to push him to be himself. He needed a friend. Sawyer was everything he needed and more.
"Everything about Sawyer was hot, but Luke also saw more than that. He saw man who was hurt, a man struggling, a man in need of a friend just as much as Luke was."
Like I said before, I fell in love with these characters! Sawyer, Decker, Kendrick, and Adam are hilarious together! I found myself laughing out loud at their antics. They were perfect best friends for Sawyer and Decker was a great brother for support.
This book was a wonderful love story. It showed the push and pull struggle between a couple. Both Sawyer and Luke were dealing with internal battles while fighting for a love they never thought they would have. There was even a little bit of a love triangle in the mix that was a extra little piece to Sawyer's self-discovery.
"Can I kiss you?"
"You never have to ask."
A.D. Ellis has gained another fan with this book! I enjoyed every bit of this story! It was beautiful, heartbreaking, and inspiring. It teaches you to always be true to yourself. Never just settle.
"Let love in, let love win."
