Claire and Liz have always had a friendship that defied the test of time, but when one of them is diagnosed with a disease that every woman fears, their bond is put through the wringer. How do you cope knowing your soul mate could be taken from you?

Filled with memories of their life long friendship, inappropriate behavior, bad tattoos and shaving cats, the two friends will realize that laughter really is the best medicine.

Tattoos and TaTas is not your typical love story; it's a story of friendship and learning how to let go when something is beyond your control.

My Review

"This is the story of the day everything changed, the day we all began looking at life a little differently than we did before."

If I could describe this book in one word, it would be beautiful

There are people and moments in your life that you can take for granted. You look on as an outsider to other's struggles and think that it will never happen to you or someone you love. But what happens when it does? How will you handle it? Will you be there for that person? Can you push past the hurt and anger you feel to comfort them?

"So, I have cancer. Who wants more wine?"

Claire and Liz have a friendship that all women would love to have. They are looney, crazy, blunt, and outspoken. But they are also as close as two friends can be without actually being family. So, when Claire blurts out that she has cancer, Liz is shocked. She's actually more than shocked, she's in denial that she could lose her person.

"My best friend has cancer. Why can't I feel anything? Why can't I do anything?"

For anyone that has never gone through cancer themselves, or had a loved one go through it, Tara takes you on an emotional roller coaster. For those that have gone through this, it hits home. I, myself, felt every moment

I smiled with these characters as they laughed through the pain. I cried with them when they thought it was the end. I wanted to reach through my kindle and hold all of them!!

"Thirty years of going through everything together. I can't imagine living the rest of my life without her and I have no idea how to find humor in any of this bullshit. We have so much more living to do, her and I."

This is not just a story of friendship and sisterhood, it's about a fight. A fight that many face each and every day.

"Where before I only noticed sickness, the pallor of her skin and the loss of her hair, now I see strength. I see what I should have seen all those weeks ago. A woman who takes whatever is thrown at her and pushes through, determined to survive no matter what. A woman who is the strongest person I have ever known."

Thank you, Tara! You wrote an amazing book that not only lets us revisit beloved characters, but it also tells a story that so many need to read. A story of seeing the light through the darkness. It shows that even at the worst of times, maybe all you need to do is laugh.

"Life is filled with enough bullshit and drama, why make it worse? Tell me something. What makes you feel better, crying and complaining or laughing and making fun of a situation? It's an easy answer and one we all need to remember from time to time."

This book gets FIVE Terrific Tata Stars!!!

"F**k Cancer. Save second base. Fight like a girl. Do it all and do it with a few laughs because you are amazing, you are strong and you are a fighter, just like my best friend."
