Synopsis

She can track down the world's most dangerous drug lords, hack into any computer, and kill a man in fifteen different ways—but when she comes face-to-face with the only man who’s ever held her heart, it might be her most dangerous mission yet... Or is it?

Sloan Walker. Dr. Felicia Santora. Agent L-55. Three very different personas, three very different names, but all have one thing in common. They’re all controlled, acted out, and lived by one woman.

 Her past has been long forgotten. Ten years have gone by since someone remembered the girl she used to be. The young girl with the big-brown eyes and beautiful dreams of happiness, dreams of love. She now lives a clandestine life. A life filled with top-secret missions and covert assignments. Only a handful of people know the true nature of her job. Her safety is constantly being pushed towards the brink of life-threatening danger.

 Then one day someone unexpectedly steps back into her life…

 A man who once owned her mind, body, and soul.
A man who held her heart in the palm of his hand.

 He remembers. He knows.

 And this knowledge could threaten everything she’s worked so hard for. Nixon West is as intelligent as they come and his Navy SEAL training has made him one of the most dangerous weapons in the United States Military. The moment she reappeared into his life he promised himself that he wouldn't let her go.

But the true question is…what extreme lengths will Nix go to for her?

 She will soon face another mission.

 And it will test everything. Time never seems all that important until your life hangs in the balance.

 Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock…

About N.A.

I march to the beat of my drum. Can you hear that? That perpetual bang, bang, bang that’s continually drumming relentlessly inside of my head. Oh, that’s just me? Never mind then, carry on…

Beautiful words, lovely plot lines, and COFFEE...Three of my favorite things.
I savor the weird, embrace the pervy, and willingly open both arms to anything that will make me laugh.
My obsession is books. I like to read them, write them, and inhale them in any way my ravenous mind will allow.
I’m awkward and sarcastic and can’t take a proper selfie if my life depended on it.

I was once told by my high school English teacher that my colorful ability to state the obvious would be my biggest weakness. I thanked him and made it my life’s mission to make that my biggest strength.
At times, I’m bordering on obscene and have strongly considered tattooing the words Approach With Caution on some part of my body.
Procrastinator at heart who tries to tell herself that she’ll meet every deadline.

Tomorrow. I’ll finish it tomorrow, I swear.

Release Day: Ginger Scott - This Is Falling

Synopsis

First, I had to remember how to breathe. Then, I had to learn how to survive. Two years, three months and sixteen days had passed since I was the Rowe Stanton from before, since tragedy stole my youth and my heart went along with it.

When I left for college, I put a thousand miles between my future and my past. I’d made a choice—I was going to cross back to the other side, tolive with the living. I just didn’t know how.

And then I met Nate Preeter.

An All-American baseball player, Nate wasn’t supposed to notice a ghost-of-a-girl like me. But he did. He shouldn’t want to know my name. But he did. And when he learned my secret and saw the scars it left behind, he was supposed to run. But he didn’t.

My heart was dead, and I was never supposed to belong to anyone. But Nate Preeter had me feeling, and he made me want to be his. He showed me everything I was missing.

And then he showed me how to fall.

The Stories Behind The Story –
THIS IS FALLING by Ginger Scott

THIS IS FALLING is about first loves, overcoming tragedy, finding courage, forging friendships and…baseball. Okay, so maybe it’s only a little about baseball. But it’s enough about baseball. I’ve been dying to write a story with a baseball thread, because as much as I love the purity of high school football (the backdrop for my debut WAITING ON THE SIDELINES), my veins bleed Rawlings leather and warning track dust. Baseball is just plain romantic. It can’t help itself. It’s one of the hardest games to play, impossible to master, and sexy as hell to watch. And I hope readers fall in love with Nate Preeter, my MR. BASEBALL, as much as I’m in love with the game.

There are a lot of little (and a few big) things that inspired me throughout this story, and I thought it might be fun to share some of those secrets—the story-behind-the-story if you will. So I give you Seven Fun Facts about THIS IS FALLING.

   1.  The Preeter brothers were inspired by two brothers from Arizona State University—the Poole brothers. I won’t get too deep into their story, but Keith Poole was one hell of a wide receiver, and his brother Marc was paralyzed from the waist down. I worked at the college paper and knew their story well—often seeing Marc on the sidelines, his brother and best friend making a game-winning catch on the field. Their story is one that’s unbelievably inspiring, and it stuck with me for years. I didn’t know them well, having met Keith a handful of times and quoted him once or twice for an editorial. But they made an impression.

   2.  Nate Preeter isn’t any one person, but rather several sort of mashed together to make a hell-of-a sexy ballplayer. He’s part Sun Devil inspired with a touch of Buster Posey, and I made him from Louisiana because my cousin’s from there, and he won a college world series at LSU (and two MLB ones with the Cardinals and Giants – see if you can guess who he is ;-).

   3.  Nate’s a catcher, because catchers are, quite honestly and to steal a line from my book, “the heart and the soul of the team.” Plus, Buster Posey is a catcher, and Buster Posey is the bomb. Have I mentioned I like Buster Posey?

   4.  I had ASU’s Packard Stadium in my head when I described the fields at McConnell University.

   5.  McConnell is loosely modeled after Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. It’s just smaller—more…elite. But the town is very much Stillwater.

   6.  There’s a really great bar in THIS IS FALLING called Sally’s. If you know Stillwater, it’s a little bit of a shout-out to Eskimo Joe’s. I named it Sally’s after my bassett hound.

   7.  And number seven…there is one prank—the prank above all pranks—that plays out in THIS IS FALLING. I married a man who actually did that to someone;-)

  Synopsis:

Hannah Rhodes has just gotten out of a long term relationship, and she isn't looking for a new man in her life. But after a night out with the girls and one too many tequila shots, her plans to stay man free are blown all to hell. She finds herself in bed with the smoldering stranger from a party six months back and immediately knows she's in trouble, big trouble. And the last thing Hannah needs is more trouble.

 Her last relationship took her out like an emotional freight train, and she’s trying to piece back the stability her life once had.

 Greyson Holt’s biggest fear in life is to end up like his father, like the man who left him as a child, and broke his mother’s heart. He vowed to never be responsible for that kind of carnage. Men could be cruel and that kind of brutality was in his blood. He never allows himself to get too close to anyone, until he meets Hannah.

 Something about her makes him want to try, but a man can’t change overnight.

 Will Holt be able to catch Rhodes every time he lets her go? Or will their chase end in heartbreak?

About the Author:

I’m twenty four years old. I was born and raised in Ladner, a small farm town just outside of Vancouver, Canada. I grew up riding horses, shooting guns with my daddy and driving my ’99 red chevy truck, Clifford. I’ve been together with my handsome redneck, Jacob, for five years and this August we will be celebrating our one year wedding anniversary. I am completely and utterly obsessed with country music. I love to snowboard, go on walks with Bear (Not a real bear silly! Our chocolate lab) and I love to plan events; I don’t know if that’s considered a real hobby, but it is for me!

We were fortunate enough to travel a lot as a family, and I think that helped spark my love of reading. I’m half Viking, my mom is Danish, and her entire side of the family still lives in Denmark. We’d visit them almost once a year, every year and it’s a nine hour flight. That’s a lot of uninterrupted time to read (or in my parent’s case, entertain four children – Yikes!). My love of reading quickly turned into a passion for writing. I loved to write short stories and although I majored in Business Management, I took as many English electives I could get my hands on in college.

I’m a reader, turned blogger, turned author. I started a blog this June ’14 because I love to talk about the amazing books I’ve read, and after a few suggestions that I try writing a book, I decided to give it a go. I loved it instantly! Having always been a creative person, it felt amazing to harness all that energy and use it to tell a story that I love. I enjoy incorporating bits of my real life into the stories I write – What parts are true? Hah. I’ll never tell, what would be the fun in that?

I am beyond excited to be embarking on this new journey as an author and I hope y’all can join me on the ride!

Release Day Blitz--Be My December by Rachel Brookes

Title: Be My December
Author: Rachel Brookes
Release Date: August 28th
 Genre: Contemporary Romance

Blurb:

I knew the exact moment I’d become a ‘yes’ girl.

December 16th, a cold winter’s night, four years ago.

The night my innocence was stolen, the night I made the mistake of saying no—a mistake I’d never make again.

The dream of a ‘happily ever after' was now a locked away myth. I promised myself that I’d never return to the place of my worst nightmare, that I’d never let anyone get close, but then again, I never thought I’d meet someone like him.

The intense, confident and beautiful Ky Crawford.

I had no plans to become someone’s Prince Charming.

I couldn’t be. I refused to be. My plan was simple—do whatever it takes to correct my biggest mistake, my one regret that now controlled my life.

I was on track. I had plans, but then everything changed when I saw her—the girl in the red jacket, the girl who I was told couldn’t say no.

The reserved yet stunning Eden Rivers.

A girl who can’t say no.

A guy who craves redemption.

A chance encounter?

It all comes down to this.
One question.
One month.

Be My December?

What Readers are Saying:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My Review
"...As the perfect world I knew was destroyed, I ceased to exist as Eden Rivers...From that moment on, I would become a yes girl-as saying no seemed to be the worst decision I ever made."
December 16th is just a regular day for most people, but for Eden Rivers, it's the day her world stopped and she would no longer be the same. Her choices were taken from her that day, and she lived the next four years of her life hidden behind a facade that had yet to be torn down...Until now.
"As long as she was still hurting and as long as I still hated everything I was, I would never give myself the chance of happiness or contentment. I didn't deserve it, it was as simple as that."
The day that Ky Crawford watched Eden Rivers walk into his life, he knew he was a goner. He saw past all the walls she had built up and he was determined to knock them down.  He would do anything to protect her. He never considered himself a hero, if anything, he felt like he had something to prove. He needed to show this beautifully, broken girl that she needed to live again. The only problem was, he himself, was a beautiful disaster.
They had a month together. A lot can happen in a month.
You pull for these characters. You see them each struggle with their own battles. You want them to win; to come out on top. Ky's trying his best to show Eden that she is always in control of her life. She doesn't have to do what everyone wants to just because she's afraid of the outcome.
"I had no choice."
"You always have a choice."
Ky Crawford. Can I just say that he epitomizes protector? He's amazing!! He is everything Eden didn't know that she needed.
Ky pushed his own struggles aside to make sure she had everything and anything she needed. But how much can one person handle? Emotions are tough especially when you're not paying attention.
"I'm completely lost in you Eden, and I don't think I ever want to be found."
Gahhhhh! I can't tell you how many times that I wanted to crawl into this book and hug them! Ky and Eden had an amazing connection and you could see the love blooming between them. Buuuuuuuut...The past can be a big "bee with an itch".
How can you move forward when your past keeps pulling you back?
"You are wrecking me, Eden Rivers."
Truth be told, he was the one wrecking me.
December. One month. One decision. Two broken souls.
What would you do if you had one shot to change your biggest mistake?
Would you take that chance
Would you risk everything you've faught against just to bring life to another?
Sometimes second chances are just that...chances.
"You were meant to Be My December ,Eden, but you've become my absolute everything."
"I've given you all of me Ky, and I need you to give me all of you."
"You can have everything of me, Eden. I will give you the world."
"I don't want the world, Ky, I just want you."
If you think you have read the best from Rachel Brookes, think again. This was hands down her best novel yet! I was so emotionally involved throughout this entire book. This is not an easy book to read. Meaning that there are some very tough and scary issues that are addressed, and you find yourself holding your breath as you turn the page. I can't tell you how many times I cried. Rachel made me feel what Ky and Eden felt. I felt their pain, cried their tears and held them tightly in my mind. It's truly beautiful how she handled these situations. I applaude you, Ms. Brookes!
Also, the secondary charactes are freakin' amazing!!! Josh Crawford. Lawdy mecry! Having both Crawford men in one book was hotness overload;) Ashlyn was such a perfect companion for the boys, and to Eden. She's a spitfire and she knows how to handle those Crawfords. You also get a few visits from some old friends! Let me just say...Rachel made me soooooo happy with bringing in a certain hottie from the past;)
This book was not a typical love story. There isn't a perfect start to Ky and Eden's story, but there is passion, forgiveness and a lot of learning to live again.
I recommend this book to everyone! It gets five wonderful stars and I can't wait for the continuing story:)
"Please find peace with me."
"The way you are looking at me now, gives me the peace I've been looking for the past four years."
