Tiffany's Reviews for Anna Katmore's Adventures In Neverland series

I'm so thankful that a friend of mine recommended this series to me. It has become one of my favorites and I hope it becomes one of yours.
Enjoy:)

Neverland:Book 1

Synopsis
Why is there a boy who doesn’t want to grow up?
How can an apple start the sweetest romance in fairytale history?
And what does a ruthless pirate have to do with it all?

Angelina McFarland loves reading fairytales. But she never dreamed of falling right into one herself. That’s exactly what happens when she slips on her balcony and a flying Peter Pan catches her mid-fall.

Ending up in Neverland where no one seems to age and laws of nature are out of control, Angel has no idea how to get home. Worse, the ruthless Captain Hook captures her and keeps her trapped on his ship, the Jolly Roger, where she gets caught between the lines of a timeless battle. But the more time Angel spends with the captain, the more she sees beneath his ruthless façade.

As Angel desperately tries to find a way to return to her real life, she discovers a train ticket to London in her pocket. It won’t be any help in getting off the island, but as her memory fades away the longer she stays, this is all she has left to remind her of her former life and why she can’t give up trying.

Or is staying in Neverland forever the better choice after all?

My Review of Neverland

"This is Neverland. The land of treasures and pixies and rainbows. Nothing to be afraid of."

I don't know if I could possibly explain how much I loved this book! This is not a retelling of the story of Peter Pan. This is the telling of the story you never knew.

What if what you thought you knew about Neverland wasn't what was true? What if Peter Pan wasn't the kid you loved? What if Captain Hook was the one person you never knew you needed?

For Angelina McFarland, her life was anything but a fairy tale. She was a few months from finishing school and she was ready to see where life would take her. Her parents were never around and she found friendship and comfort with her five year old twin sisters, Paulina and Brittney Renae. The three of them had wonderful imaginations and loved the story of Peter Pan. Angel's sisters would dress as fairies and they would act out the story.
On one night, that story became a reality. While trying to reach for something on her balcony, Angel falls. And keeps falling and falling. Next thing she knows, she's being caught by a young man who seems to be flying. Flying!!

"Welcome to Neverland, Angel."

Peter Pan brings Angel into the jungle and introduces her to the Lost Boys. They tell her about their life in Neverland, the games they play and about the horrible Captain Hook. She enjoys their time together, but she knows that she needs to get home. What must her sisters think of her being gone? Are they scared? Worried?
After expressing to Peter that she needs to find a way home, he gets upset and can't believe that she would ever want to leave. Why would anyone want to leave a place as wonderful as Neverland?

As Angel is walking around the island, she runs into a charming man. But looks can be deceiving.

"You-You're one of them...You're a pirate."
"And the ugliest, meanest and scariest of them, I was told."
"Hook."
"Welcome aboard the Jolly Roger."

Being trapped on a boat with a bunch of pirates isn't Angel's cup of tea. But there is one perk...Hook. She might just be changing her mind about how she feels about his handsome stranger. Hook is having the same thoughts about this lost girl.

"Her hand slips away from the railing. She takes a shy step forward. There, almost. I can already feel the warmth of her body. Her fingers come up. She's going to touch me in a second, and it shocks me how much I anticipate it."

The attraction between Angel and Hook feels so real even when reading. It makes your heart race and you want so badly for these two to be happy.

"There's something beneath his ruthlessness. He tries to hide it. But sometimes it flashes through. And it shocks me as much as it seems to shock him. It makes him adorable, turning the cruel Captain
Hook into just Jamie. I find I like Jamie. If that's a smart thing to do remains to be seen."

"She's the only person in my world who gets to see this side of me. The side that tempts me to loose myself. My pirate side starts to crumble in front of her. And I'm in no hurry to pick up the pieces."

Oh SWOON!!!! I really wanted to trade places with Angel so bad!! This book made me smile, my heart race and swoon and made me believe in fairy tales more than I already do. Also, tangerines and seawater never sounded so good;)

Forget what you know about the story of Peter Pan and dive into this amazing new adventure that's sure to bring a tear to your eye, but also a huge smile!
Can't wait for the next adventure Anna has in store!!!

Pan's Revenge: Book 2

Synopsis
“Are you ready to be kissed?” he breathes against the corner of my mouth.

My knees start to tremble and there are butterflies in my belly now. Way too many. “I don’t think this is a good idea.”

“I think it’s the best idea I had in a long time."

Desperate to leave Neverland and find his love in this notorious town called London, James Hook makes a grave mistake. He puts his own wishes above those of his half-brother and once-arch-enemy, Peter Pan.

The consequences alter Peter’s life in a way no one could have foreseen. The boy who wouldn’t grow up swears revenge, and what better way than by stealing Hook’s girl?

The first to arrive in London, Peter finds Angel once again without any memory of ever being in Neverland. That gives him time to plant the idea of a ruthless pirate captain in her mind—someone who tried to kill her once and is now on his way to kidnap her again. If only this stubborn girl would stop playing with Peter’s head. He’d completely forgotten how beautiful she was. Or is it only because he sees her through different eyes now?

Through a shower of falling stars, a loop around the moon, and then a hard left at the Clock Tower—when James Hook finally arrives in London, he has to fight with a vengeance for his love and face a boy who grew up after all…

My Review of Pan's Revenge

"There's only one real adventure in this world, love. It's finding the one person who makes you want to be better than you are."

Amazing!!! Wonderful conclusion to the story of Angel, Peter and Jamie! I didn't want the story to end!

If you thought you you couldn't love James Hook more, think again. He will steal your heart all over again and then some.

"Why are you really here then?"
"I already told you last night. I'm here because of you."
"What am I to you, that you felt the need to leave Neverland for me?"
"You're everything to me."

Swoon!! I mean, come on! How far would you go to make the love of your life remember you?

I also loved seeing more of Peter Pan. You see more of what's going on in his mind in this book. He's such a troubled soul and you feel compassion for him. He can be a brat at times, but he's still that young boy wanting attention.

This book not only takes you through Jamie's struggle to get Angel back, but you get to see how much he cares for Peter. Maybe villains aren't really villains after all. Maybe they are just misunderstood and never given the chance to show who they can really be.

"Thing have changed."
"Have they? Or have you, James Hook?"

I think Anna did a beautiful job at bringing this story to a close. These characters stay with you and make you think and believe in fairy tales again.

Imagine what you could do with one happy thought?

About the Author

The quick-and-dirty:
I’m a girl with a passion for writing.

The genres you’ll find me hanging out at are contemporary and paranormal YA, but I’m also snooping into some adult paranormal right now. All of them romances…of course.

The nitty-gritty:
I’m an Austrian lass—totally uncomplicated and up to anything fun.
I grew up in Vienna, not by free will but because my parents decided to move there when I was only 4 years old. I. Hated. The. City. Everything about it. So right after graduation I moved back to Upper Austria, where I settled down with a nice husband and an awesome laptop.

I’ve been a storyteller all my life. Already in kindergarten, I came up with the most exotic fantasies and tales. My teacher would call me a liar. I call it the cornerstone of my writing career.

People always told me you can’t make a living with being an author. So when my first novella PLAY WITH ME came out and shot straight to the stars within the first week, I was totally dumbstruck. Took me a while to realize what was happening, LOL.

And the personal stuff:
At the (awesome) age of seventeen, I met the love of my life. But he was a playboy, and I was so not going to be his next trophy. It took him another four years of fighting for me until I finally decided to give that “couple-thing” with him a shot. I’m now married to this man. ;-)

We have an eleven-year-old son, and together we travel a lot…although I sometimes wish the trips were shorter because I can’t wait to get back to my laptop and my many stories. Unless we’re in Disneyland. No stress to go home then…
