Elizabeth: Hey all! I'm just a girl from the Midwest that likes to tell stories.Mickey: WHERE THERE'S SMOKE just released. It's very different from your other novels—a lot darker, more serious. Tell us what WTS is about and what readers can expect from this new series.
Elizabeth: It is a little different for me, but I think it's still got the heart that readers expect when they pick up one of my books. There's steam, suspense, and a second chance at love!
Mickey: The main characters in WHERE THERE'S SMOKE have sketchy pasts. Were you able to draw from any personal experience (that you can tell us about. Haha!) to write this one?
Elizabeth: Haha! I may or may not have done a couple of things described in this novel! I'll never tell! :-) As far as the legal stuff, my settings and characters are always loosely based on some place I've been or someone I've met.
Mickey: The dedication of WHERE THERE'S SMOKE reads, "For the Belles..." *tears up* Who are these amazing Belles you speak of? *winks*
Elizabeth: The Backwoods Belles, of course! The super sweet, super supportive street team I share with Caisey Quinn! Love those girls!!
Mickey: I know your readers are probably dying for FINDING YOU too. Any dates or teasers you can give us about that one?
Elizabeth: I'm hoping for later this year! Mallory definitely has a story to tell!
Mickey: I think most people know that you also write the Broken Heartland series with Caisey Quinn. Those readers are absolutely dying for book 2! Any news you can share? *begs*
Elizabeth: Just like a storm, it could strike at any time! ;-)
Mickey: Readers loved seeing you and all of the other amazing authors at the Chicago Author Event! What other events will you be signing at or attending this year?
Elizabeth: I'll be in Knoxville for the TN Valley Author Event and in St. Louis later this summer.
Mickey: Moment of truth: Do you eat your vegetables?

When I'm not writing or playing the part of wife and mother, you can find me dancing back-up for Beyonce, singing back-up for Miranda, or sunning myself on the beach with a drink in hand. Here's the thing about being born and raised in a small town—you have a very vivid imagination! Now, I channel it all to create stories where the girl always ends up with the right guy, first kisses are magical, and a happy ending is just that!
