She was merely a pawn in their game.
And then something happened.
Once the fragile, naïve human, Evangeline has become altogether … different.
A being who holds formidable power, she may be the key to changing the course of fate.
Or she could be the final nail in the world’s coffin.
But Evangeline doesn’t know exactly what she is, what she can do. She knows only that she has to stop an enemy far worse than the Sentinel and the sorceresses—one driven by revenge.
And he’s hunting the man she loves.
As Evangeline fights to keep Caden alive and the human population from eradication, she can’t help but sense the imminent doom.
Find out if fate will prevail in the harrowing conclusion to the Causal Enchantment series.
Interview with K.A. Tucker
KA: Hi Mickey! So excited to be back here. You are one of the first bloggers to support my YA Fantasy series WAY back when. I am K.A. Tucker, author of the YA Paranormal Fantasy “Causal Enchantment series” (ANATHEMA, ASYLUM, ALLEGIANCE, and newly released ANOMALY). I am also the author of the NA contemporary romance “TEN TINY BREATHS” series.
Mickey: Can you believe this is it for this series? How crazy was typing "The End" for Evangeline and her story?
KA: It has been a long time coming. My life has changed drastically between releasing ALLEGIANCE now. ANOMALY is the fourth book in the series but my eighth book (I wrote an entire other series in between!). Flipping back into this world was challenging. Writing “The End” felt like a real accomplishment.
Mickey: I've loved this series from before book one was even released. Lots of people do! But do you have any regrets or things you wish you'd done differently in this series?
KA: Honestly, I don’t. I had to re-read the first three books before beginning ANOMALY and I still love the story as much as I did when I first wrote it. My writing style has changed quite a bit, and if I have time to go back and tweak the first book, I will. But I won’t change the actual story.
Mickey: While the Causal Enchantment series is about vampires, you also write contemporary novels. What caused the switch in genre?
KA: Simply put, an idea. I started really getting into contemporary romance reads the summer before I wrote TEN TINY BREATHS and then the idea for the book hit me. I had the cover and the title before I wrote a single word.
Mickey: You've written YA and now NA. Any plans for some older adult characters in your future?
KA: Anything’s possible. I love writing about characters in the 18-25 age group but I’ll never limit myself.
Mickey: You recommend a lot of great books on your Facebook page. Want to run through some of the best ones you've ready lately?
KA: The last book I read was Jay Crownover’s BETTER WHEN HE’S BAD—a new series that comes out later this year. It’s fantastic. Jay is a talented story teller. I don’t know anyone who does that tattooed bad boy world better. Before that, I read ARCHER’S VOICE by Mia Sheridan. This was the first book by her that I’ve read and I really enjoyed it.
Mickey: How is your Chug pup doing? It's been a while since my blog has been updated about the dogs. *wink*
KA: Milo the chug is fat and lazy but finally calm. He’s almost eight! Our Shepherd-Husky cross is still hanging on as well, though she’s almost completely blind now. They spend a lot of time trailing me around, now that I’m home every day.
Mickey: Final question - What's your favorite fruit?
KA: Raspberries! I could eat them for dinner and would never tire of them
Mickey: Thank you so much for being here today!! Any parting words?
KA: Thank you so much for hosting me again… and again… and again… Your support and the support from your followers has and always will be much appreciated xoxo
