G-Reads, TGIF is a way to recap the week on your blog and answer a fun question she asks bloggers. Linking up spreads the word, so visit her blog for more info and to participate! :o) Here's the question for this week:
Unexpected Books: Which books did you have reservations about reading, but ended up loving once you did?
I was a little worried about reading the
Soul Screamers
series by Rachel Vincent. I shouldn't have been, because by book 4 I was sobbing and totally enthralled. They're emotional roller coaster rides!! They're ridiculously addicting. I love Kaylee's story, even though it's been a heartbreaking, eye-opening journey. If you haven't read them, you probably should!
Also, I didn't really want to read
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
, either. I heard about how slow it was. And it totally is slow. But it's also a really great story. Lisbeth is a fascinating character! I ended up really getting sucked into her tale. I really liked that series.
Twilight
! Oh yeah. That was on my list of "I'll probably never read these books because they sound ridiculous," and then I became obsessed like everyone else. Oy!
What about you? What's on your list? Let me know! Leave a link! Happy Friday :o)
I loved the Soul Screamers series! I had already loved Rachel's Pride series so I had no doubts about her YA one really!
