The Broke and the Bookish, this feature includes random weekly bookish top tens. This week's list is - top ten books written in the last 10 years that I hope people are still reading in 30 years. I've read some great books in the past 10 years, so here's to reading them for a long, long time!
These are all some of my favorites from the past few years. I truly hope they have the staying power to be read in generations to come :o) What's on your list?! Leave me a link! Happy Tuesday!
Yes to Sherman Alexie!! He's amazing =)
ReplyDeleteGrr... Seems to be a lot of Water and Elephants. Need to read that. Great list! :D
ReplyDeleteDrop by my Top 10?
I loved Something Borrowed! Definitely a must-read :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh, love your list! I really enjoyed both Water for Elephants and The Time Traveler's. Wasn't keen on The Help (thought it could have been deeper) but I, just this very evening, actually, started Something Borrowed (a pretty atypical read for me) and I'm, surprisingly, loving it, so far. :O) Here's to another great 30!
ReplyDeleteYou have some great books on your list, especially The Help, Water for Elephants, and The Time Traveler's Wife. I haven't read much Ellen Hopkins, but she is very popular with my teen readers. Part-Time Indian made my honorable mentions list. Here are my picks http://wp.me/pzUn5-10k
