Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, this feature includes random weekly bookish top tens. This week's list is a free-for-all so I am picking - top ten fictional crushes. I certainly have many, but here are the top ten in my book. I'm sure a lot of you will agree with my list, and I know you'll wonder why I left some off the list. Let me know what you think of my top ten in the comments :o)
- Mr. Darcy
Jane Austen - Pride and Prejudice
Who doesn't love Mr. Darcy!? If you don't love him, it's because you haven't read P&P yet. Sure, he's a total ass at first, but Elizabeth makes him a better person. And if you don't wish to do that to a man, you're not a woman ;o) - Jericho Barrons
Karen Marie Moning - Fever series
Barrons is every woman's dirty fantasy. He's extremely carnal and totally sexy and badass. Plus he's very mysterious. It's hard not to want a guy like that, even if it's not for real life. - Crispin Russell (Bones)
Jeaniene Frost - Night Huntress series
Bones has the British accent and the vampire thing going for him, that's for sure. Plus he's totally hot in bed, and every girl deserves to feel the way Cat feels when she's with bones. I also get chills whenever he calls her his wife. *sigh* - Seth Mortensen
Richelle Mead - Succubus series
He's the shy, obsessed author type. He's completely in love with Georgina, even when things are totally messed up. He has his flaws, but basically he's perfect. - Gerry Kennedy
Cecelia Ahern - PS I Love You
Yes, he's dead. But yes, he's the master of true love. Any guy who would go through that much trouble while he's freaking dying deserves some crushin' on. - Jesse (Hector de Silva)
Meg Cabot - The Mediator series
If you haven't read this YA series by Meg Cabot, you probably should. They're pretty underrated, and I think you'd see why I swooned a bit over Jesse. Enjoy! - Landon Carter
Nicholas Sparks - A Walk to Remember
When Landon finally sees Jamie as a person rather than just a loser at school, she changes him. Who doesn't want to be that woman for a man? Landon is way sweet. Maybe I remembering the movie version more, but I still love him! - Aiden St. Delphi
Jennifer L. Armentrout - Covenant series
If you've read Half-Blood, then you know why I love Aiden. If you haven't, you should read it. Especially chapter 16. Yep. Mmmhhmmmm. :o) - Jay Heaton
Kimberly Derting - The Body Finder series
He makes me melt. He's what the "perfect boyfriend" would probably be if such a thing existed. He and Vi are just the bomb together. I love them. And him. - Akiva
Laini Taylor - Daughter of Smoke and Bone
Surprised? Perhaps you are. But if you've read this, maybe you'll understand. This book will stay with me until I die. I didn't think I'd like it, but then it sucked me in so hard. And Akiva is cryptic and dark, and I really loved his character. The end was sad, but there is hope!
An honorable mention: Etienne from Anna and the French Kiss. He's a bit of a cheater so I couldn't really include him. But he's a guilty pleasure anyway. :o)
Totally agree on the last one. I'm halfqay through the book and already I'm in love with him. :D
