Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, this feature includes random weekly top tens. This week's list is - top ten authors I wish would write another book! These are authors who haven't written or released a book in a while. I would like to find some new books by these authors! Check out my list:
- Stephenie Meyer - Seriously. How can you write the Twilight series and The Host and not release anything for years?!
- Judy Blume - Not something like Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret, either. I want something like Summer Sisters!!
- Meg Cabot - Get off my back, I know she's written books within the last year, but I'm talking more novels like her adult stuff - the Boy Next Door series, Heather Wells, Queen of Babble, etc. I think I saw that there might be another Heather Wells novel. I hope that's true!
- Suzanne Collins - Has she written anything since The Hunger Games? Goodreads is telling me no.
- Kathryn Stockett - The Help was amazing!! I want more!
- Steve Martin - I loved Shopgirl, but he hasn't put out anything as good (in my opinion) since. I want more with the magic of that book.
- Sherman Alexie - I see more stuff on Goodreads, but they don't look like they're solo projects or anything like Part-Time Indian.
- Kyra Davis - I loved the Sophie Katz series! I want moooore.
- Laurie Viera Rigler - She's a Jane Austen lover and writes with her in mind. Her books are Jane Austen themed, and I love it. Please write more.
- Jane Austen - I could read her books forever. There are still a couple I haven't read, so she has some time.. lol ;o)
Who's on your list? Who do you want to get writin'!? Let me know. Happy Tuesday!!
Stephenie Meyer is on my list also! I would love to have something new from her. Fantastic list.

I agree wholeheartedly with Stephenie Meyer. Where the hell are you, girl? You could release Midnight Sun for us, I mean, if you felt like it. haha. I keep hearing rumors about The Host 2 coming out this year. I wonder if that is really happening?
ReplyDeleteI guess they did just release the Official Illustrated Guide, if you haven't read it yet. Some if it is interesting.
I would love to read more from Austen and Collins too!
ReplyDeleteI'd be interested to see what Stephenie Meyer pops out too (if anything). And definitely Suzanne Collins. It might be hard for both of them to live up to what they've already published though.
ReplyDeleteCool list, Judy Blume is a great shout!
ReplyDeleteMine is at YA Yeah Yeah if you'd like to take a look.
I totally forgot about Kathryn Stockett on my list, but I would definitely read another book of hers. Suzanne Collins made my list, too. I hope she'll write again when all the Hunger Games movies are done.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes yes yes to Suzanne Collins. I NEED her to write something new! As amazing as THG was, I know she has to have something else in the works.
