A masked lover….

A year ago, Club Reign owner, Belinda Gilles threw the first Grown & Sexy Masquerade Ball without a hitch – that was until she encountered a masked man whose touch made her forget about her past. Did she dare to believe that her masked lover would show his face again?

What lies beneath…

When Jordan Harris discovers that Belle is the woman he encountered under the mask a year ago, he sets out to make her his, even if it means opening old wounds she’d vowed to never forgive him for.

Chapter One

If there was one thing a woman always remembered about a man, it was the way his hands felt against her skin.

Well, depending on the right man, Belinda Gilles thought, turning to the left, right and then returned center mast to stare at her reflection in the full-length mirror. There was nothing sane about wanting a man whose name she didn’t even know. Yet, her fingers had touched every inch of his body, one night – one year ago.

The wine colored dress clung to every curve of her voluptuous body. She was not the type to hold out for the unexpected; hoping for something that was nearly impossible to occur just brought a lot of heartache. Her past had taught her that. It had also taught her that being in love with two men was an impossible feat to master. Someone always stood to lose. One was buried underneath eight feet of earth and the other watched it happen.

Belinda shook her head. She didn’t want to think about Nate or Jordan tonight.
Skeletons had best take their bones elsewhere.

She’d come a long way from her days in Leimert Park. Memories flashed through her mind of hot summers, lowriding and the two men that had captured her heart at a time she’d needed love most.

Tonight she wanted to relish on her success, inhale the accolades of yet another memorable event under her wing. Club Reign was one of the most exclusive clubs in L.A. Stars and celebrities visited from all over the country. And she had been doubly rewarded for her success as the club had blossomed into thespot. Her spot. She smiled. “You go, girl.”

She knew what others thought of her, that she was a gold digger for marrying Brandon Forde when he was 59 and she was 24.. Brandon had been good to her. He’d loved her and in her own way she’d loved him. He’d never expected more out of her than she could give. His death had been a blow to her and she missed him, with a ferocious need for his confidence. He’d been more of a mentor than her husband. She’d never stepped out on her marriage, had taken their vows seriously. Despite what the society set thought, she’d been Mrs. Brandon Forde in every way that counted in the nine years they’d been married before he’d died of a heart attack.

Belinda smoothed her hand through the twisted knot of her hair, the dangling crystal earrings glittered against the bathroom spotlights. She was ready for this evening; the anticipation was thick as it’d been last year. She loved a good party and she loved that fact that people knew who was throwing it.

She’d put so much of herself into Club Reign, having little of a social life outside of the organizations and associations she donated to. For the outside world, she was the widow of Brandon Forde. No one would suspect that she was highly in need of being fucked, but not by just any man. Him. She didn’t want anyone else. This time she planned on concreting the deed and making her mystery man aware of how she felt.

Her fingers trailed down the side of her neck. Memories assailed her senses with longing. Her eyes fluttered closed His lips soft and so giving one moment and commanding and unyielding the next. His hands had branded every part of her. She felt it every time she thought of the orgasms she’d experienced with him that night. The call for more of his touch had long ago become hard to ignore.

The throb between her legs made her densely aware that it’d been exactly a year since she’d been touched, desired sexually in the fashion she craved.

Belinda had gotten repeated offers from other men to be her lover. But she wanted only one thing, another night, followed by another with this man. She’d found herself daydreaming about him, counting down the days as she and her staff planned for the second Grown and Sexy Masquerade Ball.

At the most inappropriate times, she would be found smiling. Belinda pretended her glow had nothing to do with anything other than her excitement about the plans for the ball. If only they knew. Her mind was filled with a heart-pounding requisite to feel him inside her again, stretching her, filling her with the delicious sensations.
She could remember only one other time in her life that she’d craved a man as intensely as this one. It was a memory she chose to forget. Nothing like this. She couldn’t forget him if she wanted to.

Her body had melded into his without regret or justification of their tryst. She was not the type of woman who hoped in wayward emotions like love, but she hoped for him, all of him tonight.
