Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, this feature includes random weekly top tens. This week's list is - top ten books that have been on the shelf for the longest time but haven't been read yet. I've had the best of intentions to read these novels, but other things get in the way, new books come out, ARCs show up in my mailbox, etc etc. One of these days I'll read these books. One of these days.. lol.

I have this one on audio and just haven't gotten there yet.

This is one that I've been wanting to read since high school. I've had this book forever! Just haven't read it yet.

This one hasn't been on the shelf all that long, but I keep picking it up and not getting very far. I need to be in a certain mood to read this one.

My friend Audra wants me to read these so bad! I'd rather have the audio though.

This is this month's book club read, so it will finally come off the shelf! Bought it at my library's used book sale for $1. Hardcover and everything :o)

I watch the show so it was really hard to attempt the audio. I bought the book and still haven't read it all. It's so similar to the TV series!

A friend let me borrow her copy, but I kept it so long that I got my own. I LOVE Meg Cabot, and I crave her chick-lit sometimes. Why haven't I read this one yet??

I bought this one based on the title alone. But this was years ago and I still haven't read it. One of these days, I swear!

I've read a few novels by Jane Austen, and I love her books, so I bought this beauty. Haven't cracked it, and I still haven't read all her books either.

Bought this one at the used book sale at the library as well. I've heard good things. We'll see.
Have you read any of these? Should I move them up on my list to read? Let me know what you think! And leave a link to your top ten. Happy Tuesday :o)

Eclectic bunch of books. I did Kite Runner on audio. It is a good sad story. Weepy time. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo if you need a kick butt chick book where she gets revenge and never whines about how sucky her life is.
ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to get to 1984 for ages. It really should have been on my list this week.
ReplyDeleteSome of these are really good. You should try them.
ReplyDeleteHere's My Post
The Kite Runner is one of those that I have and haven't read yet also, which is such a shame because everyone RAVES over it. I found it at Goodwill for next to nothing. The following week, I found A Thousand Splendid Suns at Goodwill, also for next to nothing, and I haven't read that one either! Soon, soon, very soon....
ReplyDeletethe Kite Runner is excellent. And Northanger Abbey is my favourite Austen novel. :)
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Top Ten Tuesday post. :)
I've had 1984 on my wist list forever, but I've never bothered to pick up a copy. I really should.

ReplyDeleteOooh, I have that edition of Jane Austen too! (Best birthday present EVER) Unfortunately, it's a bit daunting because the text is so small.
ReplyDeleteAlso, reading Imaginary Girls so far. The prose is wonderful. <3
I have a few of those on my shelves too - Imaginary Girls is mocking me right now! I read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - loved it.
ReplyDeleteYou have got to read the Kresley Cole! Its one of my favorite series of all time.
