Top Ten Tuesday - Strong Feelings

Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, this feature includes random weekly top tens. This week's list is - top ten books I had really strong emotions about. All of these books are ones that really made me laugh, cry, love, hate, etc etc.

Of course. Is there a top ten list without P&P? This book gets me all riled up with romance and love, but I also get irritated with their blindness! They are too busy hating each other to realize they love each other. I don't think that really happens, but I love it anyway :o)

This is one of the most recent ones that really brought out strong emotions. I'm a big believer in equality. This book is all about same-sex couples and their rights. I loved this book.

The Help is another recent one, but I adored this novel. It's also about equality, but it's about race issues in the 1960s. Obviously this has been resolved, but this book really drives those issues home for those of us who didn't experience it first-hand.

Georgina's life is told in this series, and it's SO emotional. This is the 5th one in the series, and I think this one is where it really started to get sad. Luckily the last one is out so don't worry!

Basically, I cried throughout this whole novel. So so sad.

Emily Giffin has a gift for writing characters in a way that the reader doesn't know who to root for. I never know who I want to win out in her novels. This was a great addition to the Rachel/Darcy drama, and I loved this one more than the first. I was frustrated the whole time!

I was so surprised at how much I liked this book. I was very impressed with the writing and the story in general. I'd never read anything by him before, and I honestly don't want to ruin the perfection of this one by reading something else.

I thought this book was the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. NO idea why anyone likes this book.

Pretty sure I'm the only one on the planet who couldn't stand this novel. Not a fan in the least.

This book makes me want to throw things. Can't stand it!

Okay, I didn't want to say too many mean things, but we can't love everything, right?! Anyway, leave me your link to your list, and let me know what you think of mine! Happy Tuesday!!

  1. I'm so scared of P.S. I Love You. I'm so scared of the depth of emotion I've heard it brings. I've heard it is SO good. Maybe one of these days, but I'd have to be when I can shut myself up and cry for days because I can never get a handle on myself once I start!

  2. That's exactly what it does.. it brings about very deep emotions!! It's extremely good, but you do need to take some time to read it and let it sink in. It's super sad and romantic. :o)
