"Waiting on" Wednesday - Fever

Hosted by Breaking The Spine, this section will feature future upcoming releases that I personally am excited about. These will generally be coming up later in the year. Let me know what you're looking forward to, or even what you're writing, and maybe I'll feature it here as well.

Lauren DeStefano - Fever

• Pub. Date: February 21, 2012
• Publisher: Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing
• Format: Hardcover 352pp
• Age Range: Young Adult
• Series: Chemical Garden Trilogy Series #2

Rhine and Gabriel have escaped the mansion, but they’re still in danger. Outside, they find a world even more disquieting than the one they left behind. Determined to get to Manhattan and to find Rhine’s twin brother Rowan, the two press forward, amidst threats of being captured again . . . or worse.

The road they are on is long and perilous—and in a world where young women only live to age 20 and men die at age 25, time is precious. In this sequel to Lauren DeStefano’s harrowing Wither, Rhine must decide if freedom is worth the price—now that she has more to lose than ever.

Goodness, I love this cover. And I seriously enjoyed Wither! I am really hoping to get my hands on an ARC, or at least I hope that S&S puts it in a Galley Grab newsletter! I can hardly wait. Wither left me hanging with a bunch of questions that I hope to get answers to this time around. I know there will be one more book in this series, but perhaps this will keep me satisfied until it comes out and wraps up. What do you guys think? If you haven't read Wither, go do so before this one releases. Let me know what you're looking forward to as well! Leave a link. Happy Wednesday!!

WWW Wednesday - 8/31

This Wednesday feature is hosted by Should Be Reading. To play along, just answer the following three questions… What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? Click on the pictures to see them on Goodreads or to see my review for the finished ones. Enjoy!

How was your week? I've been productive, thank goodness. It's helped that I've had three Fridays off in a row, and this coming weekend is a three day weekend since it's Labor Day. Anyone have fun plans? I'll be at home with the pupsters trying to reinforce going potty outside. And reading, of course :o) Be safe!!

Teaser Tuesday (11)

Hosted by MizB @ Should Be Reading, Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

It was the fifth of November when I found out I wasn't who I thought I was. I remember the exact moment. I didn't know myself anymore. - page 4 (ARC version)
