I'm a Book Shark: Top Ten Tuesday

Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, this feature includes random weekly top tens. This week's list is - "Aww" Moments in Books (those cute lines, charming actions, kisses, or any other sentimental moment that made you say "AWW!"). There are lots of aww moments, so I will have to condense and pick my true favorite top 10! It's going to get a little spoilery so if you haven't read the book I chose, maybe you shouldn't read the description/quote. You've been warned!! Here we go:

Cecelia Ahern - PS I Love You
The whole freaking novel is an aww moment!! Such a touching book. But here's a good aww quote:
"Finding someone you love and who loves you back is a wonderful, wonderful feeling. But finding a true soul mate is an even better feeling. A soul mate is someone who understands you like no other, loves you like no other, will be there for you forever, no matter what. They say that nothing lasts forever, but I am a firm believer in the fact that for some, love lives on even after we're gone."
Jane Austen - Pride and Prejudice
What kind of a list would this be without this novel?? There are a couple aww moments, but I'll choose two. Darcy proclaiming his love is an obvious choice:
"In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you."

The second is more of a funny aww moment. I've always appreciated the part when Mr. Bennett (Elizabeth's father) stands up to Mrs. Bennett about taking Mr. Collins's hand in marriage:
"An unhappy alternative is before you, Elizabeth. From this day you must be a stranger to one of your parents. Your mother will never see you again if you do not marry Mr. Collins, and I will never see you again if you do."
Marisa de los Santos - Love Walked In
Cornelia realizes a little late that she's in love with Teo. I'm pretty sure we all knew the whole time, but Cornelia was in denial.. with him being her sister's husband and all. In all fairness, she's been friends with him her whole life! But when they both discover they have feelings for each other, it's like the whole world comes together for the first time!
"Yes, it's true, what I said earlier: A real life doesn't mean getting what you want; the achievement, the privilege, too, is knowing what you love. But getting what you love? Having what you love love you back? Oh, my friend, it's a miracle: your one tiny life's head on collision with divinity."
Kimberly Derting - The Body Finder
Violet is so in love with her best guy friend, Jay. What she doesn't know is that he completely feels the same. She's just not figuring it out! But when it's revealed.. AWW!
"I was just waiting for you to want me as much as I wanted you.” His words were quiet but carried one hell of an impact. “I knew we were going to be together; it was just a matter of time. I kept hoping that you would figure it out. But for a smart girl, you’re a little dense, Vi."
Jeaniene Frost - Night Huntress series
Every time Bones says, "My wife," in reference to Cat I get all emotional. I listen to these, so it could just be the accent in which he says it, or it's just the words themselves, but I just adore it when he calls her that! Here's a lovely quote though:
"Do you think I’m pretty?” I heard myself ask. Something I couldn’t name flashed across his face. “No. I don’t think you’re pretty. I think you’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen." (Halfway to the Grave)
Stephenie Meyer - Twilight
Obviously this has to be on this list, too!! Goodness. I couldn't skip it, sorry. Trying to find a great aww quote has made me so excited for the re-read along!! Everything between Bell and Edward once they get together is a serious aww. :o)
"Will you be?” I asked, suddenly anxious. “Will you really be here?” “As long as you want me,” he assured me. “I'll always want you,” I warned him. “Forever."
Audrey Niffenegger - The Time Traveler's Wife
This book has a bunch of little aww moments since Henry goes to back to Clare when she's young and doesn't understand. Their adult life has some aww moments as well. If I had to pick just one, it would be when Henry and Clare (as a young girl) are talking about his present life. She asks if he's married, and he says yes. Clare doesn't know that he's speaking of her..
[Clare:] "Do you love her?" [Henry:] "Very much" I'm astonished to see that tears are streaming across her face. [Clare:] "It's just that I thought maybe you were married to me."
Richelle Mead - Georgina Kincaid series
I love these books - everyone knows this. And since Georgina and Seth just can't be together right now, all the tender moments deserve a big aww because they can't last long. Hopefully it will somehow work out between the two when the last novel in the series comes out later this year!

Meg Cabot - Queen of Babble Gets Hitched
This is one of my favorite series by her! She's my queen of chick-lit. Whenever I feel like I need a good girly story I'll find one of her books. In this series, Lizzie goes through a bunch of bad luck, meets a guy, meets another guy.. blah blah. But when she finally gets with the "right" guy.. awwwww :o) I even wrote in my review that it melted my heart!
"Remember... life is short. Each moment you have is precious. Treasure every second. Don't spend them doing anything you don't love."
Meg Cabot - Twilight (Mediator series)
I loved these books! I listened to the audio versions at work and I even cried at the end! Mmm if you like YA with a supernatural twist and a good back and forth love story, READ THIS SERIES! :o) The end is SO awww!!
"Hasn't anyone ever told you," Jesse asked, in a semi-amused voice, "that a gentlemen never lays a hand on a lady?"
