Friday's topic is: Audio Book Resources!
Where do you learn about great audiobook titles? Find reviews? Buy your audiobooks? Share your secrets with the rest of us!
There are quite a few places to get great audio books! It all depends on how long you want to wait and how much you want to pay. I love lists, so here are a couple for your audio book addiction.
Places to pay for audio books (most have free trials to start):
- Audible *
- Graphic Audio *
- The Audio Book Store
- Simply Audiobooks
- Audiobooks.com
- Tantor
- Barnes and Noble *
- Amazon *
* - Sites I've used for audio books
Happy audio book hunting!! If you have other places you get audio books, feel free to comment here and let me know. I'm always looking for new places. Leave a link to your Friday post and I'll check out your blog. Thanks!
And a final Audio Book Week note: I didn't listen to a book this week that made me want to write a stellar review for audio book week. So, here's what I have to offer: I've talked about Tavia Gilbert a bunch because she's one of my favorite female narrators. If you want to check her out, and you're okay with paranormal romance (and I mean ROMANCE..), check out Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series. The books are fantastic and the narration is amazing. I absolutely adore Bones's voice :o) If you're not ready for the romance, check out my review for Amy Huntley's The Everafter. Tavia narrates this one as well, but it's not as good in my opinion because I just fell in love with the characters in Frost's series.
Happy Audio Book Week!!!!!!!!
I've only ever used the library to get audios, but I am definitely going to check out the sites you listed above...thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy resources post can be found here.
A couple of new to me sites to check out. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGreat list!
ReplyDeleteYou should also check to see if your library has NetLibrary. Not as convenient as Overdrive but still free.
ReplyDeleteI shall check! One library in the area has these things called Playaways - preloaded audio books on something resembling an MP3 player! Totally neat.
