Q. Circle time! Time to share. What character in a book would you most like to be, what character in a book would you most like to date?

A. Wow. I think these kind of go hand in hand, although they could be different characters from different books. Usually I think of a couple as one item, so this may be a hard choice. First to come to mind is Cat and Bones from the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. They obviously have amazing sexy times and Cat is pretty badass for sure.

Also another pretty awesome couple would be Georgina and Seth from the Succubus series by Richelle Mead. I know I know.. their relationship is a little messed up to put it mildly, but those stories really clicked with me and have become some of my favorites.

Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy are a little too predictable, right? Pride and Prejudice is one of my all-time favorite novels, and to live in that time period would be a bit of a dream come true in a way. Things were so proper and different. Lizzy is such a great character, so it's hard to not want to be in her shoes.

However, there is one character in a book who does not really have a steady love interest, and she is totally badass. Her name is Annja Creed from the Rogue Angel series. I listen to these by Graphic Audio because they have sound effects and a whole cast of voices. They aren't written incredibly well, but basically she is like Lara Croft from Tomb Raider. She has the ability to summon Joan of Arc's sword whenever she wants, and she kicks some serious butt a lot. She's an archeologist and goes on all sorts of digs and missions. Over time she's run into some interesting fellows, including two 500-year-old men named Garin and Roux.

If I had to pick one man I would like to date, Seth Mortensen from Richelle Mead's Succubus series would probably win out. He's an author, number one. He's sweet, attentive, and gets lost in his work, which means he actually has a flaw. His soul is clean and clear, besides some of Georgina's own doing which I can forgive. *wink* He just seems to be such a pure guy, and he cares deeply. His encounters with Georgina always leave me with a feeling like she found someone seriously special. So if you haven't read this series, you're missing out entirely. Get on it, fast.

  1. I put both Cat & Bones and Elizabeth & Darcy in my response as well! In a way, the relationships are incredibly similar, although Cat is the prejudiced one in their relationship. I love the Night Hunter series :)

  4. Some very thorough answers right there! I did read 'Halfway to the Grave' but I'm still not sure what all the fuss is about Bones and Kat. Haven't read any of the others you mentioned but Annja Creed sounds like a good character and if that's her on the cover she certainly looks good. :)
